Bucs sign S Jackson

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that they have signed S Tanard Jackson. Terms were not disclosed. In addition, the team released FB Jon Goldsberry, WR Efrem Hill, TE C.J. Leak and CB Chaz Williams. Jackson was a fourth-round pick (106th overall) of the Buccaneers in the 2007 NFL Draft. He was a three-year starter at Syracuse, seeing action mainly at cornerback in the defensive backfield. He played in 45 career games with 34 starts, totaling 165 tackles, five interceptions, 2.5 sacks, 8.5 tackles for loss and 14 passes defensed.
