Simms signs for fans

All eyes were on Buccaneers quarterback Chris Simms Tuesday during practice at Disney.  Simms only threw a handful of short passes during the morning session.  Afterward, Simms told reports his arm is sore and that he’s not 100-percent healthy.  He did deny reports that he has irregular proprioception.  Head coach Jon Gruden admitted that Simms has a sore elbow and is taking an anti-inflammatory.  Linebacker Derrick Brooks did take part in the morning session after missing the last three days with a sore hamstring.  Rain shortened the afternoon workout.  The team held a walk through inside the Omni hotel.  The Bucs have two scheduled practices today.  The morning session runs from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the afternoon practice goes from 2:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.  In other news, the team has signed former USF defensive end Tim Jones, who tried out for the team in mini-camp.
