Positives And Negatives For Bucs After Jags Loss

Garcia looks to throw

The Buccaneers dropped to 1-and-1 in preseason play after a 31-19 loss at Jacksonville on Saturday.  The first-team defense did a nice job against the Jaguars, shutting down in the first quarter.  Defensive linemen Kevin Carter and first round pick Gaines Adams each had a sack.  However, the second-team defense allowed 24 points in the second quarter.  Offensively, head coach Jon Gruden was pleased with the play of quarterback Jeff Garcia, who was a perfect 6-of-6 for 43 yards, including a 19-yard touchdown pass to David Boston.  The running game could not get going with Cadillac Williams carrying the ball three times for minus-one yard.  The Bucs will play their next preseason game Saturday at Miami.
