Bucs Lose Cash, Olajubutu For Season

The Buccaneers have lost two young linebackers to season-ending injuries.  Antoine Cash and Sam Olajubutu were placed on injured reserve Monday.  Cash seriously injured his knee and Olajubutu suffered a torn Achilles during Saturday’s 31-19 preseason loss at Jacksonville.  Head coach Jon Gruden says Cash was starting to come on.  Meanwhile, quarterback Chris Simms did not see any time against the Jaguars.  Gruden says Simms will play once he practices better.  In addition, defensive backs Phillip Buchanon and rookie Tanard Jackson sat out practice.  Buchanon had a sprained wrist and Jackson is nursing a strained hamstring.  Both are considered day-to-day.  The Bucs will play their next preseason game Saturday at Miami.
