Simms slammed

Interesting tidbit from Pro Football Weekly:

“The word out of Buccaneers camp is that coach Jon Gruden has a new nickname for QB Chris Simms. Gruden has been heard calling Simms “basket case,” because something just doesn’t appear right with Simms, who has been slow to recover from a ruptured spleen and is buried on the depth chart. We hear Simms could be placed on the injured reserve list if he doesn’t make the opening-day roster, but our sources do not believe the Glazer family will allow Gruden to release Simms.”
