The Buccaneers may have suffered a major injury along the offensive line. Starting left guard Aaron Sears severely sprained his ankle during practice yesterday and had to be carted off the field. Head coach Jon Gruden says he doesn’t know the extent of the injury. The rookie second-round pick out of Tennessee is having a good camp. He was taken to a nearby hospital for X-rays and an MRI. No word yet on the results. If he misses time, Anthony Davis would start in his place. The Bucs will play their next preseason game Saturday at Miami. The team also made a minor trade, sending an undisclosed draft pick to the New York Jets for linebacker Jerry Mackey.
