Bucs Draw Positives After Win, Team Stands Behind Boston

Williams runs

The Buccaneers beat the Dolphins 31-28 over the weekend down in Miami to improve to 2-and-1 on the preseason.  Jeff Garcia looked sharp in throwing a 26-yard touchdown to Joey Galloway.  Cadillac Williams also had his best game of the preseason with four carries for 25 yards.  Defensively, linebacker Cato June returned an interception for a touchdown as he continues his impressive preseason.  The Bucs finish out the preseason at home against Houston on Thursday.

The team is standing by wide receiver David Boston for the moment.  Boston was arrested for DUI Thursday night in Pinellas Park but tested clean for alcohol.  Results of a urine test are pending.  Police say Boston seem disoriented and did not know where he was.  In a statement released by general manager Bruce Allen, the team says it has not seen any objective evidence to support the charges against Boston.  Boston played sparingly in the preseason win at Miami on Saturday.
