Bucs-Panthers Clash On Sunday At Carolina
Posted by Matt Loede on September 29th, 2007 filed in NewsThe 2-and-1 Buccaneers visit Carolina on Sunday to take on the 2-and-1 Panthers in a battle for first place in the NFC South. It looks like David Carr will start at quarterback for Carolina. Panthers starting quarterback Jake Delhomme strained his throwing elbow last Sunday at Atlanta and has not practiced this week. Delhomme is very questionable and may not play. For the Bucs, cornerback Brian Kelly has practiced despite a groin injury but is expected to play. Defensive end Patrick Chukwurah did practice despite being bothered by a knee injury. There’s a good chance he makes his season debut on Sunday. The Panthers have taken seven of the last eight meetings from the Bucs. Panthers wideout Steve Smith has recorded five straight 100-yard receiving games against the Bucs.
