Bucs Lose Caddy, Petitgout For Season

Jeff Garcia, top, throws as pass from the pocket as teammate Luke Petitgout (77) blocks

The Buccaneers paid a heavy price for their 20-7 victory in Carolina.  Running back Cadillac Williams and left tackle Luke Petitgout suffered knee injuries in the first half and will be both be lost for the season.  Caddy suffered a torn patellar tendon while Petitgout has a torn ACL.  With Caddy gone, Michael Pittman and Earnest Graham will have to pick up the slack.  Pittman and Graham combined to rush for 138 yards and a touchdown against the Panthers.  According to ESPN, the Bucs contacted free agent Corey Dillon but Dillon told the Bucs he wasn’t interested.  Meanwhile, second year man Donald Penn will fill in for Petitgout at left tackle.
