Buccaneers quarterback Jeff Garcia picks himself up from the turf during the third quarter

The Buccaneers came up short yesterday at home as the Jacksonville Jaguars pulled out a 24-23 victory at Raymond James Stadium.  Bucs quarterback Jeff Garcia was picked off three times, including Aaron Glenn’s 28-yard interception return for a touchdown in the second quarter.  Michael Bennett scored his first touchdown in a Bucs uniform with a 19-yard run.  Joey Galloway hauled in six catches for 115 yards and a touchdown.  Jaguars quarterback Quinn Gray made his first NFL start and overcame a rocky beginning to throw an eight-yard touchdown pass to Matt Jones that gave the Jaguars the 24-23 lead in the fourth quarter.  The Bucs tried to drive down the field with less than a minute left, but Garcia was picked off by Reggie Nelson to end the game.  Jacksonville improved to 5-and-2 while the Bucs fell to 4-and-4.  Tampa Bay is home against Arizona next week.
