Posted in The Buccaneers can clinch the NFC South with their fifth straight win when they travel to Reliant Stadium this week to take on the Texans. The Bucs improved to 8-and-4 and opened up a three-game lead in the NFC South after beating the New Orleans Saints 27-23 in Week 13. Luke McCown started in place of the injured Jeff Garcia and threw for 313 yards and two scores, including the game-winning strike to Jerramy Stevens in the closing seconds of regulation. The Texans fell to 5-and-7 after losing 28-20 to the Tennessee Titans last week. Matt Schaub left the game in the first quarter with a left shoulder injury. Sage Rosenfels stepped in and threw for 186 yards, one touchdown and an interception. The Bucs won the only meeting between the two franchises, 16-3, in 2003.
