Bucs Bring Back Carter, Lose Hackett To Carolina

The Buccaneers have re-signed defensive lineman Kevin Carter to a one-year deal.  The team released the 34-year-old Carter last month just before free agency began.  Carter’s agent says his client turned down more money from Oakland to return to Tampa.  Elsewhere, the Bucs missed out on free agent wide out D.J. Hackett, who signs a two-year deal with division-rival Carolina.
