Simms To Bucs: Get Me Out Of Here
Posted by Matt Loede on June 10th, 2008 in News
Chris Simms wants out, and he hopes the Buccaneers will grant him his wish. In an interview with the “St. Pete Times”, the quarterback says he has completely recovered from his spleen removal surgery and that he has no desire to play for Jon Gruden. Simms says Gruden betrayed him last year when the head coach told the media at training camp that he was healthy enough to play, but that his problem was, quote, “mental.” Simms says he doesn’t plan on holding out for minicamp or training camp. Simms feels he’s, quote, “being held hostage.”
