Bucs with Permission to Speak to Favre

The story broke earlier today that Packers QB Brett Favre has permission to talk to the Jets about a possible move to the Big Apple.  Later in the day, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports confirmed that the Bucs also have permission to talk to Brett.  The word is the Pack wants a first round pick for Favre, who says he’s going to be at Packers training camp on Sunday.

The earlier reports had the Bucs interested in a trade, but the fact they have permission to talk to the QB means things may be getting serious quickly.  Maybe the biggest question will be what would happen to Jeff Garica, last seasons starer and Pro Bowl QB if Favre makes the jump to the Bucs?  One would wonder if Garcia, who already is unhappy with his contract, would demand to be traded.
