Favre On His Way to Tampa Bay?

Favre

It appears Brett Favre will resume his NFL career in Tampa. The “Tampa Tribune” reports the future Hall of Fame quarterback is willing to accept a trade to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are expected to finalize a deal with Green Bay as early as today. Favre left Packers training camp Tuesday after a lengthy meeting with head coach Mike McCarthy the night before.

McCarthy said to the media on Tuesday that after speaking with Favre for several hours, it’s his belief that Favre will not take the field for the Pack this year. Favre told ESPN that he and the Pack were at a stalemate. He was placed on the team’s active roster on Monday, but has since expressed his desire to part ways with the Packers. Favre was slated to have another meeting with Packers general manager Ted Thompson and club president Mark Murphy on Tuesday, but he also told ESPN that the team once again rejected his request to talk to teams about a trade within the NFC North.

The 38-year-old signal-caller said it became clear he had no future in Green Bay and it was best for he and the team to part ways. Favre was reinstated to active duty this week following months of haggling over his return after retiring in March and then later changing his mind. Favre would likely unseat Jeff Garcia as the starting QB with Tampa Bay.

The Bucs don’t need Farve, Gruden is making a big mistake. Garcia is what the bucs needed for a long time, he can move, pass and is not a gambler like Farve. Farve will be a bust and some other team will thank the bucs for making a big mistake and leting Jeff go. Farve throws to many interceptions, he is not all that, if they are just gambling on his name they (Gruden and Allen)are taking a big chance. Have they forgot who took this team to the playoffs and winning the South? We don’t need Favre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
