McCown Leading the Way for the Backup QB Spot

Reports say that when it comes to being the backup QB in Tampa Bay, Luke McCown is leading the competition over Brian Griese.  Of course Jeff Garcia is slated to be the starter as long as he’s 100 percent, and after that it looks as if McCown is going to be the next in line.  Sources say that Griese has been playing better, and that the gap has been closed.  “Griese is one of those guys the more you give him, the better he is,” Jon Gruden said. “He’s rare that way.”
