Bucs Place Phillips on IR

The Buccaneers today put strong safety Jermaine Phillips on season-ending injured reserve with a fractured right forearm. Phillips, who ranks fifth on the team with 86 tackles, was injured during Sunday’s 13-10 overtime loss at Atlanta. Phillips also missed three games earlier this season with a fractured left forearm.

In other moves, the Bucs signed defensive end Patrick Chukwurah and linebacker Rod Wilson, released running back Noah Herron, signed running back Omar Cuff to the practice squad and released defensive tackle Chris Bradwell from the practice squad.
