Morris the Early Front Runner for New Coach?

With the Jon Gruden firing happening just mere hours ago, the big talk is who exactly is going to take over as the teams new head coach? The early thought is a pretty complex one, as many felt that the Glazer’s had something up their sleeve with a possible deal in place with a big name like Mike Shanahan or Bill Cowher.

Not the case.

At least that is the story from NFL.com’s Adam Schefter, who says that defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, who was a finalist for the Broncos coaching job, is the front runner for the head coaching job. Morris was just promoted when Monte Kiffin left the team to join his son Lane at Tennessee, and now he very well may be he teams top man before it’s all said and done. Stay tuned.
