Fresh off getting canned by the Chiefs, could Herm Edwards land in Tampa Bay as the teams new defensive backs coach? TBO.com threw that out there on Sunday, but don’t expect it to happen for awhile, as Edwards wants to take a step back and think about things before he makes his next move in the coaching world.
“I’m going to take until after the weekend to decide what I want to do next,” Edwards told FoxSports.com’s Jay Glazer. “I need to talk to my wife and see which direction I want to go.” The choices for Edwards appear to be coaching the Bucs defensive backs, being on TV in some fashion, or simply taking a year off.
He has about three million coming from the Chiefs due to a remaning year left on his contract. Edwards was the Bucs D-backs coach from 1996 to 2000.
