A league source said the Bucs are making an attempt to re-sign defensive end Kevin Carter, who is scheduled to become a free agent later this week. With the Bucs expected to look to get younger in many areas under new coach Raheem Morris, Carter may be a bit of an exception.

In another sign that the economy is extremely tight in the world, the Buccaneers Thursday made the decision to eliminate eleven administration jobs from the Bucs’ front office. The Bucs aren’t the first NFL team to make such a drastic move, the Washington Redskins made two such moves just last month.
