Posted in Despite being franchised by the Pats on Thursday, the Bucs clearly could be in the mix for QB Matt Cassel. Here is a report from today’s St.Petersburg Times on that possible hookup.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat writer Stephen Holder got a call this morning from a fellow reporter on the Patriots beat. He was poking around looking for teams that might have an interest in trading for New England quarterback Matt Cassell. His hunch is that, with Tom Brady set to return in the fall, the Patriots are definitely looking to deal. And my sense is that the Bucs would be more than willing to do a little talking.
