Buccaneers Ink Kicker Mike Nugent to a One-Year Deal

The Bucs have a new kicker, as today they inked former New York Jets kicker Mike Nugent to a one-year deal. He was pretty good with the jets, hitting on 75-of-92 field goals for .815 percent over his first four seasons in the league. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. He was a second-round pick of the Jets out of Ohio State back in the 2005 draft. He didn’t play barley at all in 2008, as he was hurt in week one and didn’t play again. He was 24-for-27 back in 2006 on field goals, his best season as a pro.
