Williams Ready to Run His Tires Again for the Bucs

It looks as if the Cadillac is going to get another round of tires in Tampa Bay. The St.Petersburg Times reports that Bucs running back Cadillac Williams has been cleared to practice, and will be one of the 80 Bucs out there on Friday morning when the team reports to training camp.

Williams has had a tough two seasons. Two years ago he hurt his right knee, as his patellar tendon ruptured, in a game vs the Panthers. He came back, but then tore his patellar tendon in his left knee in the final regular-season game of 2008 against Oakland. This time the tendon tore from the bone.

Because of that though, the recovery for Williams went much faster, and team officials are confident he will start training camp on time. The final step before Williams can take the field is a entrance physical that will take place Friday. If he struggles, the team could place him on the PUP list.

If he passes his physical, Williams will be in the mix at tailback with Earnest Graham, Derrick Ward and Clifton Smith.
