The Tampa Tribune reports the Bucs have dumped kicker Matt Bryant:

The Buccaneers have cut ties with placekicker Matt Bryant. “I am gone,’’ Bryant told The Tribune in a text message. Bryant missed the entire preseason with a hamstring strain in his kicking leg and has apparently lost his job to free agent challenger Mike Nugent.
