Buccs @ Saints Pre-Game Gab

Well, if Raheem Morris has any desire to keep his job as the HC of the Buccs this will be his greatest exam to date. A Tough Saints team in a dangerous atmosphere.

Morris gets an opportunity to finally call defensive plays against the #1 overall offense in the NFL. And showcase what he was first hired for, defensive coordinator.

We all know the miscues so far and as Bucc fans should be ready to put them behind us.

The defense has played great under Morris’ tutelage. This defense was giving up an average of 3.5 TD’s a game with Jim Bates at the helm.

When Morris took over, the team went back to their famous 1 gap system and has only surrendered 1.5 TD’s a game since.

The Buccs are a tough 2-12 team that will play very hard for their coach. A lot of careers are on the line as well at One Buc Place so don’t expect this team to get rolled over on. They have been under achieving all year.

They must come out running the ball hard and often. Freeman has to reduce his mistakes dramatically. And Bucc safeties MUST step up their play. Starting Safeties Jermaine Phillips (IR) and Tanard Jackson (KNEE) are dealing with their respective injuries and Sabby Piscitelli and Will Allen will start in their place. Both(Sabby and Will) have had plenty of playing time under the Buccs and should step up if they plan to have jobs in the NFL next year.

The Saints on the other hand are fighting for the #1 seed in the NFC playoffs and look to secure it by beating up the Buccs on Sunday. Or a Minnesota loss on Monday.

The Saints are coming off their first loss of the season, ending their franchise best record opening run of 13-0.

The offense actually showed signs of human life as they struggled against a Jeckyl and Hyde like Cowboys team last Sunday night. This bode wells for the Buccs.

The Buccs have lost 2 out their last 3 against the Saints in the Superdome by a combined 7 points. The Saints have played a lot of close games all year, and they do what good teams do, WIN.

The Line is -14 in favor of New Orleans with 49.5 o/u

MY PREDICTION : Saints 27 Buccs 20
