Buccaneers to meet with South Florida DE Selvie

The Bucs are going to get a look at former South Florida DE George Selvie this next week as he comes to the team for a visit:

Former University of South Florida defensive end George Selvie will have a chance to show off his skills to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coaching staff next week.

According to the National Football Post, Selvie will workout for the Bucs on April 8. Selvie To Workout For Bucs Each NFL team is allowed to bring 30 prospects to its facility for visits and workouts.

Some of the other notable names to slated to visit with the Bucs prior to the draft are Tennessee S Eric Berry, Oklahoma State receiver Dez Bryant, while Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy are also expected to visit One Buc Place.

Selvie (6-foot-5, 252 pounds) had 14.5 sacks as a sophomore, but as opponents game planned for him more, his statistics slipped. He is expected to be a third or fourth selection and could be available if Tampa Bay is interested.

  1. That is interesting. The more work out they have with the other team, the higher possibility of knowing their strengths and weaknesses.
