Randy Moss’s Chances Of Going To The Bears Potentially Goes Up

Randy Moss rightly leaked, via a source, to the Boston Herald that he might not report to a non-contender. While that might turn off some contenders, it might deliver him a more realistic shot at postseason success than what new Buffalo Bill Shawne Merriman will get. While the bad teams can’t contact Moss without tampering, they now know not to bother.

Hub Arkush of Pro Football Weekly appeared on “The Boers and Bernstein Show” on 670 The Score in Chicago and said “If he gets by everyone else who’s 4-3 or 4-4, or worse, I would say it’s a little less than 50-50 that he could be a Chicago Bear.  I know they’re smart enough [at Halas Hall] to know what a difference he would make, if they could handle him, they know it would be a good addition. There’s this hope that the [Mike] Tice relationship could help. They also worry a great deal that it would be more of a distraction, and so I’d say it’s a little less than 50-50 that they put in a claim, but I think it’s a definite possibility.”
