Bucs Mid-Week Report 12-16

Shaun Hill has returned to practice for the Lions while Stanton is still expected to start. I personally don’t think the mystery on who will start will be a factor, but it could be. The other quarterback mysteries out there are Rodgers-or-Flynn for the New England defense and McNabb-or-Grossman for the Dallas defense.

The Fox broadcast team for Sunday’s game against Detroit is going to be Dick Stockton, Charles Davis and Jim Mora, Jr.

Geno Hayes has issued an apology and “I apologize to the fans, my family and this organization, and I promise it won’t happen again,’’ said Hayes. He also agrees with Josh Freeman about change being essential: “I agree with him. No doubt about it. It went down the wrong way from the way we intended it to go, so you just got to do a better job of watching out for yourself.’’

The players have started – in addition to the discipline coming in from the the Bucs and the league – promising to cut down on the off-field issues.

I will say that just because Morris has seemingly kept this stuff from being a distraction so far, doesn’t mean it is going to stay that way. I think if it had been a distraction, that Morris might be water skiing with McDaniels, Phillips and Childress right now.

Next up, an analytical breakdown of the Lions.
