Talib the Next Revis, Lightning on Super Bowl Sunday, Quarles Moves Up

Here are some news stories and notes on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

While moonlighting on ESPN’s “First Take” recently, Ronde Barber said he thinks Aqib Talib can be as good as Darrelle Revis. Typically, when it involves ESPN, I figure it’s an issue of a producer suggesting “say something crazy”. However, I agree with Barber because of Talib’s frame and closing speed. While Barber hasn’t made a decision on playing in 2011, this reminds me more of Jason Taylor telling Dolphins fans they won’t miss him because of Cameron Wake. JT was correct.

Shelton Quarles has been moved up from pro scout to Coordinator of Pro Scouting.

On Super Bowl Sunday, the Lightning will host the and the game will be broadcast locally on NBC.
