Josh Freeman Will Take a Field This Year

Josh Freeman has absolutely annihilated the regular season statistics of his 2009-drafted quarterback counterparts: his 82.2 QB rating in games defeats the 67.1 of the oft-injured Matt Stafford and the 70.2 of “Sanchize” Mark Sanchez. Freeman, though, is set on team success, namely his team winning Super Bowl XLVI, whenever that Super Bowl takes place.

He sounds very leader-like in this Tampa Tribune piece, talking about his upcoming mini-camps he’s arranging with his teammates. “I feel like I have a pretty good grasp of our offense, and I feel great about all the defenses we’ve been seeing, but the league is constantly changing and you have to have a good understanding of those changes. So, I’ve basically got every blitz that every team in the NFL ran last year all on my computer at home. I’ve got a whole storage device there that has all the blitzes, all the (interception) reels, stuff like that,” Freeman said.
