Former Buccaneers OG Arron Sears To Enter Pretrial Mental Health Program

Troubled former Buccaneers offensive lineman Arron Sears is going to enter an 18-month mental health intervention program after he was released from jail Tuesday. It’s a pretrial diversion program for Sears, who spent two months behind bars after he was charged with battery on a police officer, according to Anwar Richardson of the Tampa Tribune.

Sears was originally picked up in November when he was wandering on a busy road and arrested with an outstanding warrant. He was released on bail and then didn’t show for court. If he can successfully complete the diversion program, he will avoid criminal prosecution.
