Ex-Bucs LB McCants Again Facing Drug Charges

Former Buccaneer Keith McCants was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on Saturday afternoon, charged with felony possession of cocaine and resisting an officer according to the St. Petersburg-Times.

Bail was set at $4,000 on those charges, but McCants was also being held on a warrant from Alabama, according to an arrest report. The report said he had failed to appear in court there on a controlled substance charge.

McCants. 43, of 4224 28th St. N, was a first-round draft pick in 1990 and played three years with the Buccaneers as a linebacker and defensive end. But he was released by the team in 1993 and in recent years has had a series of run-ins with police.
