Breakdown of the Third Day of the Draft for the Bucs

NFL.com breaks down day three for the Bucs, and gives their take on some background on the players the team picked.

Round 4, Pick 7 (104) (From Redskins through Eagles) Luke Stocker TE 6’5″ 258 Tennessee 6.0

Pick Analysis: The Bucs add a big, physical tight end to complement Kellen Winslow in their double tight end sets. He will play initially as a blocking tight end on the backside but could also give the team another big target to incorporate into the passing game.

Round 5, Pick 20 (151) Ahmad Black SS 5’10” 184 Florida 6.2

Pick Analysis: Black is an instinctive safety with the awareness and ball skills that scouts covet at the position. Though his size is a bit of a concern, his overall skills and competitive edge give him a chance to emerge as a key contributor early in his career.

Round 6, Pick 22 (187) (From Chiefs) Allen Bradford RB 5’11” 242 USC 3.0

Pick Analysis: Bradford is a bruising back who, at the very least, will push LeGarrette Blount in training camp.

Round 7, Pick 19 (222) Anthony Gaitor DB 5’10” 177 Florida International

Round 7, Pick 35 (238) (Compensatory Selection) Daniel Hardy TE 6’4″ 249 Idaho 3.3

Pick Analysis: Hardy perhaps helps in two-tight end sets with Kellen Winslow, but that’s only if Hardy can make the team.
