Bucs Official Caught in Sex-Sting Operation

According to the Leesburg Daily Commercial, 32 men have been arrested in a sex-sting operation in Lake County Florida. Each of the men, ranging in age from 19 to 63, were charged with traveling to meet a minor for sex, obscene communication using a computer, and lewd and lascivious behavior, the sheriff’s department said. They face 25 years in prison if convicted.

One of the men arrested identified himself as an official with the Buccaneers. According to the Bucs official website, Brian Weiss is the luxury suites sales manager for the team.

The defendant had been chatting on-line with what they believed to be 9 to 14-year-old girls but were in fact talking to undercover detectives. Each defendant showed up at a Clermont vacation home, many coming with Skittles, M&Ms, vodka, condoms, and lubricant, in hopes of meeting one of the girls and were arrested by detectives instead.

“These suspects came with the intention of having sex with a child, instead they went to jail,” Sheriff Gary Borders said in a press conference Tuesday to announce the operation.

There has been no statement as yet from the Buccaneers’ organization about Weiss’s arrest.
