Ranking The Units: The Wide Receivers

Here I will reveal where I rank the Bucs’ projected 2011 personnel versus that of the rest of the NFL. Bear in mind, coaching is not being factored in and Raheem Morris is a supreme defensive mind.

Projected wide receivers:  Mike Williams, Arrelious Benn, Sammie Stroughter, Dez Briscoe, Michael Spurlock, Preston Parker. Spurlock will make the roster over Maurice Stovall due to the special teams ability. The Bucs will be opening up the offense this year, so the targets will go up for Benn and Stroughter, who both missed time with injury. Williams-Benn-Briscoe all possess some size, speed and physicality and are all going to grow together since they came into the league together. Benn’s breakout game was 4 catches for 122 yards vs. the Redskins.

Ranked 10th.

2010 stats: Mike Williams 65 rec, 964 yds, 11 TD. Arrelious Benn 25 rec, 395 yds, 2 TD.

Ranked ahead of the Bucs: 1. Packers, 2. Ravens, 3. Cowboys, 4. Colts, 5. Steelers,  6.  Falcons, 7. Giants, 8. Saints, 9. Patriots (with Chad Ochocinco).
