Buccaneers drop another bomb; dominated by Dallas 31-15

Tony Romo found each of his three top wide receivers for scores and capped off a 28-point first half with a touchdown run of his own, as the Cowboys easily put away the Bucs in Tampa Bay 31-15 on Saturday night.

Romo was 23-30 with zero interceptions and Felix Jones went over 100 yards on the ground for the second straight game.

The Cowboys received a strong performance from their defense, which allowed only 190 totals yards of offense.

America’s Team was equally as effective on offense, converting 7 out of 13 third down opportunities.

For the Buccaneers (4-10), losers of eight straight, they were held to four straight three and outs in the first half after losing a fumble on their opening possession of the game.

Their only touchdown of the night followed a 12-play, 75-yard drive, which resulted in a 13-yard pass from Josh Freeman to Dezmon Briscoe to make it 31-15 with 23 seconds left in the third quarter.

Freeman was 17-27 passing for 148 yards and a touchdown and no interceptions.  He also led the club in rushing with 37 yards on four carries.

Linebacker Dekoda Watson scored the team’s first touchdown on a seven-yard fumble return after an Adrian Clayborn sack early in the third quarter.

The Bucs held onto the ball for almost 16 minutes less than Dallas.

Next week, Raheem Morris’ squad travels to Carolina to take on Cam Newton’s Panthers on Christmas Eve.
