Draft objectives: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers need help on every level, in every facet, except maybe running back. They may need a back-up QB as well.
Round 1, Pick 5: Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU. I believe that if they think Dre Kirkpatrick is better, they’ll take him, even with the mild off-the-field issue.
Round 2, Pick 37: Cordy Glenn, G, Georgia *. Jeremy Zuttah is a free agent, and possibly makes a better center than guard. If Glenn isn’t here (and I could see that being the case), they will look to DT, WR, or possibly another corner if Ronde Barber doesn’t come back.
Round 3, Pick 72: T.Y. Hilton, WR, FIU. The Bucs will address linebacker in free agency. They use this chance to take a fast receiver (and punt returner) to open things underneath for Mike Williams and Kellen Winslow. Hilton may even turn into a 4th round steal, as QB play was the reason for his lack of production at college.
Round 4: Duke Ihenacho, SS, San Jose State. Safety play was bad for the Buccaneers last year. Ihenacho has starter potential, and starter Sean Jones is an unrestricted free agent.
Round 5: Jerry Franklin, MLB, Arkansas. Offensive line or another wideout are both possibilities here. Franklin is hard-hitting and can rush the passer.
