Bad news on the injury front for Bucs CB Eric Wright, who left practice with an injury.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers took off the pads for the first time in nearly a month of training camp workouts on Tuesday, so naturally someone got hurt. Cornerback Eric Wright, who came to the Bucs after signing a five-year $38 million free agent contract in March, left practice early with an unspecified injury. “He fell in that one third-down period,” head coach Greg Schiano said. “I saw he didn’t return. I am not sure what his status is.” Wright has been bothered at times this preseason by back problems and he left the field seemingly holding his back, but it was unclear if that was what he hurt during the drill.
