From the Tampa Tribune, Derrick Brooks has retired from the NFL at age 37. There will be a ceremony for him with the Bucs on Thursday.

There’s still one name free agent defensive player on the market, and that is long-time Buccaneer linebacker Derrick Brooks. His name has not been mentioned by a lot of teams as of late, even though Brooks has been rather outspoken about wanting to play in 2009.
