Pittman to be out 6-8 weeks with ankle sprain

Michael Pittman, Tampa Bay Buccaneers running backYet another running back went down for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; according to Fred Goodall of the Associated Press, RB Michael Pittman may be lost to the team for up to eight weeks.  Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden said on Monday that the team was waiting for MRI results, but that it appeared that Pittman, who was injured during the Bucs’ 33-14 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, will be out between 6-8 weeks.

This would be the second consecutive week that the Bucs received bad news on one of their tailbacks; the team lost RB Carnell Williams for the remainder of the season during the Buccaneers-Panthers game on September 30.  With both Williams and Pittman out, RB Earnest Graham becomes the starter while Kenneth Darby elevates himself to the top reserve RB.
