The Bucs on Tuesday made a roster move, coming to terms with former San Francisco TE Nate Byham.
Byham played at the University of Pittsburgh under current Tampa Bay tight ends coach Brian Angelico.
A sixth-round pick in the 2010 draft, Byham played in 14 games and started three during his rookie season with the 49ers, catching five passes for 27 yards.
To make room for Byham, the Bucs released defensive end Jeff Charleston.
