The Buccaneers have picked up the fifth-year option on wide receiver Mike Evans‘ contract, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
The seventh overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft, Evans surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first three straight seasons, becoming just the fourth player in NFL history to accomplish that feat.
He’s been the biggest and best playmaker for the Bucs the last few seasons, so them picking up his option doesn’t come as a shock whatsoever.
Look for the Bucs to continue to try and get a long term deal with Evans done.
